Fancy A Bite?
This is my mum's cat dressed up for Halloween although he is far too cute to be scary :)

This is Pumpkin my second altered pony and my attempt at a seasonal project. It was painted with acrylic paint and then covered in black diamond stickles to give it some bling.

And this is the original headless pony. (Hope it was worth waiting for Jane). It has been covered with paper from a book of word lists that I picked up ages ago. All off the words begin with P including somewhere ponies so I decided to call this one P is for Pony.

I am now going to settle down for an evening with some of my favourite horror movies.

The Headless Pony

There is currently a headless pony on my desk. It is my latest altering effort and is headless because by taking the head off I was able to remove the tail and do what I want to do without it and the mane getting in the way. I am going to put the head back on when it is finished and I will of course share a picture here.

I've been having quite a good crafty day today. OH was out at a workshop meet with some fellow Land Rover fanatics so I have felt free to do what suited me, which wasn't housework! Rather I have made a birthday card, an anniversary card and finished my christmas cards (at last). I have also prepared all the bits for my next set of ATCS, this time the theme is Burlesque and I think that what I have in mind should work well. I just need to assemble them but that will be a job for later in the week.

More Layouts

I've not been idle since I last posted I just haven't been up to sitting here at the computer for various reasons. However now I am playing catch up and that means it is time to share some more of my LOs with you.



Firstly we have this amazing photo of the river at Attingham Park. I love the way that the sky is reflected in the water with such intensity and as soon as I saw the photo I knew I would have to scrap it. The papers are from the yummy Roam range by K&Co defintely one of my current favourites and ideal for autumnal shots.


This LO was done for the weekly challenge over on UKS and I am feeling pleased with myself because after not doing any for months i have done two in a row LOL. The photos were taken last year and the journalling explains how while I don't like this time of year because I tend to suffer low moods as the days grow shorter the amazing autumn colours still can not be beaten.

I've also been busy making ATCs. I've made my two sets for my gothic swap and have started work on a set for a Burlesque swap, very saucy LOL. I also received my swaps back from the fairytale swap I did. More fantastic work again and so inspiring.

A Good Day

Well a Good Afternoon at any rate :)

This afternoon I have really got my creative juices flowing. I finished my latest CJ entry, on the theme of heaven and hell, and I completed the above LO for the monthly house challenge over on UKS. The theme was fun and OH's sister was not convinced that driving round in our friend's mini moke was her idea of a good time. We also had to use as many different patterned papers as possible I used 11 or 12 if you count the letters.

Horsing Around

This LO is one that I made a few weeks ago but I hadn't shared it because I used it as part of my entry for the DOCrafts Scrapbook Apprentice contest. Obviously I'm not a contender so here is my gorgeous LO :)

I've been fairly busy today with ATCs and a LO but the camera battery is flat so photos will have to wait for another day. I also had a bit of a sort out and lots of craft stuff will soon be winging its way to a new home.

Great Grandmother

A LO that I finished this afternoon. I started it a couple of weeks back in an effort to kick start my mojo but something didn't gel so I put it to one side. Clearing up in my craft room I found a couple of vintage lace edged handkerchiefs that I bought on a whim last year. Today it came to me and I realised what was missing. This is the result.

From The Window

I have actually gone and had a go at one of the ideas I mentioned the other day. This is my fairy window. It looks as if the fairy has had a busy afternoon baking judging by the plate of cakes sitting on the window ledge. She has also left her book; The Magic Faraway Tree as it happens. But will obviously be back soon because her wand is there too.

I started with a cheap photo frame (£1 for 2!) and cut a window frame from black card to go over the photo. I distressed the frame and added the window ledge items; the book and the cakes are handmade but not by me and came from my dolls house. The wand I made myself from a few beads and jewellery findings.

The photo doesn't do it justice but I was trying to avoid reflections of the flash as it is a dull day here. I'm pleased with it and think I might be going back to get some more photo frames.

Been Experimenting

My crafting buddy Suz has really got into making paper dolls just lately and of course I wanted to have a go at making one of my own. This is the result. She was going to be a fairy but I've not decided how to do her wings yet. I did try drawing my own but they looked all lopsided and then I found a great template here and she is the result.

And just in case anyone is interested here is an updated photo of my fairy keep. I still want to do a little more to it but I am loving it. Eventually the ribbon braid will be used to hang it up here in my craft room where she can keep an eye on what I am doing.

I actually have lots of fairy related ideas at the moment that I will hopefully be able to share with you over the next few days. And I went looking for some yesterday afternoon! I actually went for a long walk through the park at my local National Trust house and in places could well imagine the little people going around their everyday chores. Got some great photos too which will definitely help with my ideas.

One Year On

An unexpected text message has just reminded me that a year ago i finally passed my driving test. On the eighth attempt! It's crazy to think that it was only a year ago and I certainly don't miss the bus journeys that cost a small fortune and took forever to get to somewhere I can now get to in ten minutes. And yes I really do wonder how i ever managed before.

I'm not doing very well at this entire blogging thing. I have lots of things to share but haven't got around to taking photos, definitely a case of could do better. Then again that is very much me in general at the moment - could do better - I am sat here surrounded by lots of lovely materials and I don't really feel inclined to do anything with them. I've got ideas I just can't be bothered to put them into practice. Or rather I don't know which to try first. My mojo has returned but is running around my head like I don't know what throwing ideas at me so quickly that I can't keep up. Think maybe I am going to go out and get some fresh air and see if that helps matters.
