Catch Up Time

After the quite frankly hectic nature of my life recently I decided that the Bank Holiday weekend was going to be quieter. I have therefore spend the past couple of days sewing and finishing the much needed clean up in my craft room. Today I am free to craft and am looking forward to making a few ATCs and maybe even scraping a photo or two.

First though I have some things to share starting with yet another card using 'that' Tilda image.
Yesterday was my grandmother's 82nd birthday and this is the card I made for her, I still can't get my head around the lack of mouths on these cuties but love the card I made.

Next here for those who commented on him as he was on my desk he is what happened to Tigger.
I think he makes a great image for a baby card and is perfect to go with this
It's been a while since I did any cross stitch and there were times as I stitched this that I remembered why but I wanted to create something special for friends' new son and hope that this fits the bill. Believe it or not but I sketched the design out on Friday morning and had it finished by mid-afternoon yesterday, amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it.

Finally we have a photo from last weekend.
Both mini moke and mini mini moke side by side for a change. The dinky one, or Clarence as we prefer to call him, was the hit of the mini moke club national and even got voted for as the moke of the event. The winner of that by a very narrow margin and also winner of the trophy for the best 'English' moke (that's to do with the type of moke not it's origins exactly) was Clarence's big brother much to OH's delight.

Just a Little One

Which you will no doubt be glad off if you are a diehard WOYWWer.
This week my desk is truly a dumping ground with the purchases from the last two weekends mostly piled at the back. At the front we have Tigger stamped and coloured in with more purchases from last weekend, I couldn't get the right look with my usual colouring choice (water colour pencils) so I invested in Tigger coloured promarkers to go with the solitary skin toned one I already owned.
The post card of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is going to go on a LO, that's where I was last saturday and it's impossible to get a picture of the thing while you are on it.

Just Passing By

Or at least that is what it feels like.
I am having a hectic time at the present it began last friday morning at 2.30am (yes you read that right) when I had to get up ready to set off at 3am. Our destination was the Lake District and the Land Rover Series Two Club's national rally. All I will say is someone (or several someones) were out with their estimation of how long the journey would take and we were there by 6am before pretty much anyone was awake.
Still the weekend was a good one for the most part only let down by the fact that monday morning we had to pack up and trudge back home again. Then came the fun part because tomorrow afternoon we go off again this time for the Mini Moke Club's national rally although thankfully this one is a lot closer. It does mean that my week has been dominated by a mad rush to get the caravan unpacked from one trip and packed again for another leaving me little time for things I want to do. However I made up my mind that at least a couple of hours today were going to be spent crafting (I have some Moke cards to put together).

So here for the followers of WOYWW here is my desk
Not that much different from last week but I think I have a good excuse. There are a few christmas themed bits lying around because I was thinking about my christmas cards and I've made a bit of space so that I've somewhere to work today.
Here's a bit of a close up on some of the cards I was making last week.
They need sentiments adding but aside from that I think they look rather cute.
Apologies if I don't get around to many desks again this week but with the number of you taking part it is full time work trying to visit everyone on the wednesday and at the moment I just don't have the time.

Heavy On The Photos

So here we are Wednesday again and this week I'm going for a very visual post to make up for the lack of photos last week.

Firstly my desk this morning
Main item of interest is the dimensional stickers I'm making cards with.

Then we have some cards I made at the end of last week.
Yes these two are basically the same card but I wasn't feeling inspired enough to come up with two different designs featuring photos of mokes. And I don't think that the recipients minded seeing as they featured on their own cards. Actually a good number of their birthday cards including their cards for each other (they are twins) were made by me.

The next card is another Tilda based cutie
This time for my mother-in-law. I really didn't know what to do for her card and after the good reception for the Tilda card I did for my mum I thought I'd have a play colouring in again and this is what I came up with.

Finally a quick pic from the weekend
We did a road run on sunday in aid of the local hospice and ended up parked on the lawn in front of Attingham Park a nearby National Trust house. It was a great day for a great cause.

What's on my workdesk?

Not a lot.
Actually that's not true, my desk is currently piled high with stuff most of which is not craft related. I've not actually done anything crafty since we got home and I'm not likely to be doing anything today because I'm suffering a bit (nothing serious I'm just having a worse time than usual this month) so I'm curled up on the sofa with create and craft on tv and my laptop.

Hopefully normal service will be established next week
