The Twelve Days of Christmas

At last here it is, my 12 days of christmas jigsaw book. Each piece represents a day and usually they are fastened together with a chain to make an actual book. I decided to see if I could still put the puzzle together and this picture is the result. I'm really pleased with how it has turned out and will be looking out for more puzzles to alter in the new year.

My own personal scrooge seems to have been getting into the festive mood but on saturday he surpassed himself. Sadly the nearest craft store closed this weekend but he took me in there to see if there was anything I wanted from the closing sale and bought me a Cuttlebug :)

I have been informed that it is one of my christmas presents but it was such an unexpected treat that if i don't get anything else from him I will still be over the moon.

I also received an interesting piece of Land Rover related news this morning. Can't really explain all yet but watch this space!

Tis the Season...

...to be coughing!

I have had one hell of a week. It started with a chill and has ended up with a cough that doesn't seem to be in any hurry to leave me alone. I'm not really in the right frame of mind for christmas at the moment, all I want to do is wrap myself up warm and shut the world out. However I don't think that is going to happen. I still have shopping to do and haven't wrapped a single present yet.

I have managed to finish my 12 days of christmas jigsaw book which is a bonus and as soon as I stop coughing long enough to get a half decent photo it will be on here :)

I've got the shropshire scrappers coming here tomorrow which should be good and I think that my plan for the new year is coming together nicely

Christmas is coming...

...and sadly I am living with my own version of Scrooge! Now I love the seasonal build up, my OH doesn't, so every year about this time he decides that christmas is going to be cancelled. This usually coincides with me asking him to get the decorations down out of the loft LOL. However every year he gives in and our house gets a generous helping of christmas cheer assisted by the visit of the tinsel fairy. The tinsel fairy always takes the blame when he comes home to find that the house is some way to resembling santa's grotto, in a tasteful way of course! He asks what's happened and I tell him that the tinsel fairy has paid a visit.

I've already got one little christmas tree up in my craft room, so far it is only decorated with a dozen of my festive birdhouses but I am intending to make more decorations. Today I started a new project though and one that I am determined is not going to take forever. I am making a twelve days of christmas mini book out of an oversized jigsaw that I picked up in a local charity shop. Photos soon I promise!
