An Early Return

We gave up!

Yesterday morning dawned wet and the rain never stopped so yesterday afternoon the decision was made and we came home early.

I had a great trip down on Friday however coming back was no fun. Driving an old Land Rover that you can't see out of is really hard work. I did it though even if when I got home I did end up sleeping for over 12 hours and am still not with it now.

Oh well time to start getting ready for the next one now. And more importantly for my first trip out driving MY Landy :)

And We're Off!

My first big adventure in Land Rover driving is scheduled for tomorrow and I think I am looking forward to it! Will tell you all about it when I get back. And will post a picture of my great new haircut - went and had that done this morning and it is so nice not having so much hair

Having Fun

I've had a good day today.

Did lots of crafting yesterday at my crop but it wore me out as usual. Made some ATCs I am really pleased with and the LO pictured here. This one is for a challenge on UKS and I really like it a lot. And today I got to go for a drive in the oldest member of our fleet. I refuse to drive it when himself is with me because she is his baby and he cringes every time I change gear. So I left him working on my Land Rover and went out for half a hour or so.

I love driving that Landy which is just as well because next week I've got to take it to a show! And anyone coming towards me this afternoon probably thought I was mad as I drove along at 30 mph with a massive grin on my face.

Even better I get to drive it again tomorrow :)

Distracted

I was trying to be good and get my things ready for my crop tomorrow but yet again I got distracted. I was looking for a suitable picture to use on a set of ATCs for a swap and found several - for other projects! Then I got sidetracked by family history stuff (another of my obsessions) and I am now no closer to printing any pictures out. Honestly it is days like this when I should just give in and dye my hair blonde!

The plan for today was to get out into the garden again but three hours outside yesterday followed by shopping this morning left me not in the mood for anything. I am desperate to get the garden sorted though so it looks like that will be Thursday's job. I love my garden but not the work that it involves, well not all the time, I like pottering rather than serious gardening. more evidence of me being easily distracted I think.

A Better Year?

I am hoping that yesterday is a sign that this year is going to be a better year weather wise. We spent the day at the Sandwell Show in glorious sunshine. Last year the same show was a total wash out it never stopped raining all day and was pretty much representative of the summer as a whole. Lets hope the rest of the show season is just as good I want the chance to drive the Land Rovers topless (them not me!!!!), to stick to their vinyl seats and to get photos to scrap that aren't full of mud.

I Made It!

Finally after much consideration I have taken the plunge and here I am!

I know it is going to take me a good while to figure out what I'm doing but I have taken the first step.
